About Linear Cutting

Linear Cutting started as an internal tool. We were cutting stock the way everyone does, with a spreadsheet and a bit of guesswork, and the offcut pile kept telling us we were wrong. So we wrote our own optimiser, it worked, and we decided to share it with the world.

One engine, written from scratch, aimed at a simple promise: the plan you cut from should be one nothing can beat.

Why free?

Because the basics shouldn't be upsells. Kerf, trim, every optimisation method, PDFs and CSVs are free with no account and no run limits. We make our money on the API and white-label calculators for businesses, not by paywalling blade width.

Proof, not vibes

Every plan is verified against your inputs before you see it, and when the green badge shows, the plan met a provable mathematical minimum. That's the standard we think cutting software should be held to.
